Our Mission is to Build Australia's AI Infrastructure for the Next Decade
Salt Labs is an Australian AI infrastructure company. We design sovereign, renewable-aligned compute platforms to give organisations the performance, control and confidence they need to build advanced AI — without sending their most critical workloads overseas.
AI requires a new class of infrastructure
Australia is experiencing a growing GPU shortfall — and most local AI capability still depends on global hyperscalers whose capacity, residency and policy alignment sit outside Australian control.
Salt Labs is building the solution.
High-density GPU clusters
Concentrated compute power for AI workloads
Local data residency
Keep sensitive data within Australian borders
Policy alignment
Meet sovereignty and compliance requirements
Modern infrastructure
Advanced networking and cooling systems
Predictable access
Reliable availability when you need it
Security assurance
Enterprise-grade isolation and protection
National capability depends on compute capability
AI touches defense, finance, government, health, education and critical infrastructure. These sectors require trusted compute with transparent supply chains, local jurisdiction, and clear data handling boundaries.
Sovereign compute isn't just infrastructure — it's economic and strategic capability.
A sovereign GPU platform built for performance and purpose
TerraGPU is our flagship platform, designed for AI training at scale, large language models, simulation and analytics, real-time inference workloads, and hybrid integration with AWS, Azure and GCP.
Over time, TerraGPU will evolve into a national AI compute layer supporting enterprise, government and research across all states.
Our Background
Salt Labs began in cloud transformation, helping organisations modernise applications, automate infrastructure and scale on AWS.
That work exposed a critical gap: Australia lacked sovereign, high-performance GPU infrastructure for AI.
We built Salt Labs to change that — combining expertise in cloud, infrastructure, security and energy planning to design the next generation of sovereign AI compute.
